I rant. I don’t hold back and I obviously have few friends. I’ll say I am against unions. “Oh you’re a Republican?” “No”, I’ll answer. I believe in collective bargaining. “So you’re a Democrat?” Nope. I am personally against abortion. “So you ARE a Republican?” No again. I am a radical environmentalist. “Democrat?” Not exactly.
I am a THIRD PARTY advocate. I think this nation has developed to a place that not only can we except the concept, we need it desperately. Conservatives to moderates can’t possibly think the last 8 years has been even remotely good for any country, much less the U.S.
The right (or as I label them “The Third Reich, er, Right”) would vote for Hitler as long as he was a Republican. I read a quote from one writer that said “I wouldn’t vote for Jesus Christ if he was a Democrat.” That pretty much sums up most of the party. Maybe not all but, a huge majority. The others are simply businessmen, investors, money launderers. They support “The Third Right” because it’s better for business. At least that I understand.
What I can’t figure out, and maybe you can help, is how relatively intelligent people voted for Bush not once but twice. Conservatives have been doing this for decades. They will pick one thing abortion and run that to death. George W. Bush is against abortion so you have to vote for him. It’s OK that his administration is going to steal, from you, poison you, murder your children and others as long as he’s against abortion.
Now he doesn’t have to do anything about it just say he’s against abortion. The abortion rate climbed not declined under his watch. Not because liberal democrats stopped him but because he never introduced legislation to slow it down. But he’s “A good ole boy”. Bush ran on the GOD ticket. If you vote for anyone else, heck, if you even speak against Bush, your speaking against GOD. Pretty good scam if you can pull it off. How is it the majority of this country fell for that nonsense?
