For those right wing pundits who have no idea what is in the proposed health care bills, how to explain what is in them, nor why this country desperately needs one, better pay attention right now. This is your last chance.

Once a new, watered down, health care program is voted on and approved (and one will be approved), employers will soon begin looking at eliminating the company-wide insurance plan everyone swore they must keep. This is the same insurance company that sent out all those letters convincing the public not to support the health care bills being proposed. Remember how vehemently each individual opposed a health care plan? They didn’t want the “Public Option,” or “Expanding Medicare” because Rush Limbaugh told them it was bad. Of course because Rush or Glen Beck said that it was bad, and because most conservatives don’t have enough sense to know what was really in the bills or who it was for, they had to oppose it.

Here is what happens. A watered down health bill gets approved. Within the next two to three year’s employers will look at the cost of carrying employees on their insurance. They will use production, or sales, or whatever motivates their existence as an excuse and either eliminate the company insurance plan, or have the employee pay the entire cost. This process had already started several years ago. They will use the economy, unavailable bank support, jobs going overseas, anything to convince the public they are justified in eliminating in-house health care.

If the employee has to pay the full amount, the cost will be far greater than the newly approved health care plan. The employer will cite the fact that there is now a wonderful National Health Care Plan and that will be the employee’s best alternative. This puts more profit to the corporate bottom line, pleasing management and stockholders.  The problem is it will not have the same benefits or costs. Why? Because the same conservatives listening to Limbaugh and Beck didn’t want the health plan to have the same benefits or costs remember? That’s what everyone was opposing.

So, now is the time to use the few brain cells left and think what kind of health bill would I want if my employer decides not to cover their employees any longer? I will bet they wish they had the “Public Option” then.

Next, let’s go to the Washington Post’s article concerning Time Magazine’s new cover boy.

Columnist Howard Kurtz retells Beck’s view of Americans in his quote, ‘Most Americans remain convinced that the country is on the wrong track. They know that SOMETHING JUST DOESN’T FEEL RIGHT but they don’t know how to describe it or, more importantly, how to stop it.’ “

Beck has a handle on being the new Messiah by sucking the brains out of every neo-con that will listen and support this fool. If you don’t think there is an ulterior motive to this lunacy, look at his income. Kurtz quotes Forbes Magazine statement that Beck is now making $23 million dollars a year……. off of you.

And you thought he was just some poor schmuck like you, except with all the answers.

To answer all those not living in the south, Jimmy Carter isn’t talking about all whites just southern, “Dixie,” good ole boy, redneck whites. If you don’t live here, and I mean in the good ole boy, redneck south, don’t comment because you will be uninformed.

I travel in my work. There isn’t a day go by I don’t see a confederate flag. And don’t give me some crap about it being “Heritage, not Hate.” That’s nonsense. To an African American it’s the same as a swastika. That’s why rednecks fly them. Ask a redneck down here, they will gladly tell you they hate niggers and would gladly kill the one in the White House.

Many areas down here haven’t changed since the early 60’s. Again, ask them and they will tell you, “The South Shall Rise Again!” And you simple minded, midwest, northern, northwestern people think you understand? You don’t have a clue. Then you want to allow these fools to own guns? What are you nuts?! Come to Dixie, I mean the real south.

While working for a county tourism department in southwest Virginia, I ran across this sign on a gate blocking a dirt road leading to the New River, a popular recreational spot. On the other side it says, “STOP OBAMACARE!”
